20g chlorine tablets that have a significantly higher pH than other tablets (ie they are significantly less acidic) and so dramatically reduce the risk of acid damage to your hot tub seals and equipment. 1Kg.
Prior to using tis product adjust the PH levels to the ideal range of 7.2 - 7.6 to promote bather comfort, and protection of spa plant equipment and effective chemical use.
These smaller chlorine tablets are designed for use with chlorine feeders or with floating dispensers. They will slowly erode over a period of 3-5 days depending on the water flowing over them.
As they release chlorine relatively slowly it may be necessary to shock dose or oxidise prior to their use to first establish some chlorine more rapidly. Ideal chlorine levels are between pools 1-3 mg/1 (ppm) spas 3-5 mg/1 (ppm) as tested by a test kit or strips.
IMPORTANT – DO NOT ADD DIRECTLY TO A SPA AND ALWAYS USE A CLEAN APPLICATOR AS BELOW WITH NO OTHER PRODUCTS PRESENT.
*Freshly filled new spas or spas left drained for a period of time require an initial start up dose of 20mg/l (ppm) of free chlorine circulated for a minimum of 21⁄2 hours.
Fill the Trichlor floating dispenser with tablets and adjust the aperture mechanism at the bottom of the dispenser to obtain the 3–5 mg/l (ppm) desired range. Alternatively keep the dispenser aperture constant and vary the tablets inside to achieve 3–5 mg/l (ppm). The dispenser should be removed from the spa while bathing.
Fill the dispenser and follow feeder instruction manuals on flow regulation to maintain 3–5 mg/l (ppm) chlorine levels.
It is recommended that you periodically (e.g. weekly or after heavy spa use) shock dose your spa with AquaSPArkle Spa Fusion to eliminate any excess contamination.
